Harvest Time Church New Sanctuary – Greenwich, CT Scott Springer Architect was hired by Harvest Time Church to provide services during construction for the addition of their new sanctuary, which will seat over 1,000 congregants. The original concept for the church campus—located on 10 acres—was developed in 1999 by Swanke Hayden Connell Architects. Phase I was completed in 2003, and construction on the new sanctuary commenced in 2014. In addition to providing regular construction phase services, Scott Springer Architect is also working with the church and its construction management team to provide value engineering solutions to help complete the building under the original budget while preserving the overall design concept.
The two main roof trusses—each 141 feet long and weighing 26 tons—support a 25 foot wide skylight that runs the entire length of the building.
Construction is scheduled for completion in 2019.
